Manchester United's Phil Jones 'to see specialist for shoulder injury'

Manchester United defender Phil Jones will reportedly see a specialist after an X-ray on his shoulder injury was inconclusive.

Manchester United defender Phil Jones will reportedly see a specialist to make a final assessment on the extent of his shoulder injury.

The 22-year-old was taken to hospital after being forced off the field during Tuesday night's 3-1 victory over Hull City.

According to the Daily Mail, an X-ray on Jones's injury was declared inconclusive, which has prompted the club to call on a specialist.

The injury, which is said to have left Jones's arm in a sling, has put the player's World Cup place with England in doubt.
