Rio Ferdinand says that hostile Chelsea fans inspired him in yesterday's 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Rio Ferdinand has said that hostile Chelsea fans inspired him in yesterday's 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Manchester United defender was subjected to boos and chants relating to his brother Anton Ferdinand throughout the game.

Chelsea captain John Terry was recently stripped of the England captaincy as he faces accusations of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand during a match in October.

"I got booed by the CFC fans today — well done guys," Ferdinand wrote on Twitter. "Thanks for inspiring me and the lads!

"That's like fuel to me!"

Manchester United are currently second in the Premier League, trailing leaders Manchester City by two points.
