Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has dismissed reports that manager David Moyes has already entered a deal to take over at Manchester United.
The Blues boss is the firm favourite to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, and some sources are claiming that the move has been finalised.
However, Kenwright claims to have since held a "good meeting" with the Scot, whom he insists will be left to make his own decision about his future.
"I don't know about a deal being done," Kenwright told Sky Sports News. "David had a meeting scheduled with me and we've just had a good meeting.
"I think, at the end of the day, David's contract is up in six weeks' time and he has a right to make his own decisions. He's served this club wonderfully well."
Moyes is expected to be formally announced as the next United manager within the next 24 hours.
