Tom Cleverley's ankle injury is not as bad as first feared, says Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the injury that Tom Cleverley picked up against Everton is not serious.

The midfielder, who has only just returned from a previous ankle problem, was taken off during his side's 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

"He's felt his ankle again," Ferguson told MUTV.

"It's nothing serious, just tightness and tiredness. It's his first real game back, although he played on Tuesday (at Aldershot) of course.

"He should be okay next week and it was an excellent performance from him in the first half."

Ferguson also said that Ashley Young would be out for another fortnight with his toe injury.
