Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Sunday's Premier League London derby with Manchester United.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has lost Jack Grealish to another groin problem ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby with Manchester United in the Premier League.

The former Aston Villa man - only just back from a similar injury - was taken off in the first half of Tuesday's 6-2 FA Cup crushing of Luton Town and was inconsolable as he took his place on the bench.

Grealish - whose absence has now been confirmed - represents one of two fitness concerns for the hosts this weekend, as Josko Gvardiol missed the Kenilworth Road mauling owing to his ankle issue, but he is on the cusp of a first-team comeback.

Guardiola inevitably made a handful of changes for the showdown with the Hatters, and reverting to a full-strength XI on Sunday will see Ederson reclaim the goalkeeping gloves from Stefan Ortega.

Ruben Dias should also return to the four-man defensive shield, potentially over Manuel Akanji as Kyle Walker, John Stones and Nathan Ake - holding the fort at left-back - reprise their roles.

Despite capping off the scoring at Luton with a stunning long-range strike, Mateo Kovacic ought to cede his spot in the middle to Rodri, who is set to link arms with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva in a fearsome trio.

Matheus Nunes could also return to his familiar place on the bench as Jeremy Doku bids to terrorise makeshift Man United left-back Sofyan Amrabat out wide, while Phil Foden is in line to deputise for the stricken Grealish.

After becoming the first top-flight player since George Best in 1970 to score at least five goals in one FA Cup match, Erling Haaland leads the line, requiring just one more goal to reach 80 in City colours.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Doku, Haaland, Foden
