Andreas Pereira makes his first competitive start for Manchester United as Wayne Rooney starts up front in a much-changed lineup to face Ipswich Town, who name Freddie Sears on the bench.

Andreas Pereira makes his first competitive start for Manchester United as Wayne Rooney begins up front in a much-changed lineup to face Ipswich Town.

Rooney leads the line for Louis van Gaal's team, playing ahead of an attacking trio of Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and Pereira.

Bastian Schweinsteiger replaces Michael Carrick in midfield, playing alongside Ander Herrera, while Ashley Young earns a start at left-back.

Ireland internationals Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick start in a front two for Ipswich Town as top scorer Freddie Sears drops to the bench.
