Mourinho: 'I didn't like EFL Cup draw'

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says that he was not a fan of how the EFL Cup draw was conducted on Thursday evening.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that he would have preferred the draw for the EFL Cup to have been broadcast live.

The draw for the last eight of the competition has been criticised, with a lengthy delay being followed by only a re-run of the pairings being shown to Twitter users.

United were given a trip to Bristol City, but Mourinho preferred to speak about how the draw was staged rather than a meeting with the Championship side.

The 54-year-old told reporters: "I'm not happy – first of all because I didn't watch the draw and what I watched was not a live draw.

"It was some images of a draw, but no I didn't like it, I like to see it, I like to feel it, I didn't like not at all."

United reached the quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory away at Swansea City.
