Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has said that his side are playing the best football in the country.
The Italian, whose remarks were in response to Sir Alex Ferguson's suggestion that Tottenham look like the best team in England, believes that it is "hard" for the United boss to praise his local rivals.
"It's difficult to say your neighbours play the best football," he said. "It's hard. But I think until now we've played the best football in the Premier League.
"In every city where there are two teams, the rivalry is very intense. Rome, Milan, everywhere it's very strong."
Meanwhile, the Citizens are scheduled to host Manchester United in FA Cup action this weekend.
