Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin overlooked for Europa League trip to Ukraine

Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin are left out of Manchester United's travelling squad to Ukraine for Thursday's Europa League match against Zorya Luhansk.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has left Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin out of the travelling squad to Ukraine for Thursday night's Europa League group match against Zorya Luhansk.

The absence of the two players indicates that neither has a long-term future at Old Trafford, particularly as both have been linked with January exits.

Roma and Everton have been touted as possible destinations for Depay, who has started just one game for United this season under Mourinho.

In similar circumstances, Schneiderlin, who has been named in the Red Devils' starting lineup on just three occasions, is reportedly attracting interest from Everton and West Bromwich Albion ahead of next month's transfer window.

As well as Depay and Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian, Michael Carrick and Antonio Valencia have also been left at home, while Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw have not travelled due to injuries.

Captain Wayne Rooney has returned to the squad after missing last Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park, while defender Eric Bailly is included after recently recovering from a knee injury.

United need just a point in Ukraine to qualify for the knockout rounds of the European competition.
