Patrice Evra suffers virus ahead of Benfica clash

Patrice Evra has reportedly been ruled out of Manchester United's Champions League clash against Benfica on Wednesday.

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra is likely to miss the Red Devils' Champions League match against Benfica after coming down with a virus, according to the Daily Mail.

The Frenchman featured in United's 1-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday, but was substituted in the early stages of the second half.

Fabio da Silva is the most likely replacement to come in for the 30-year-old.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side will take on their Group C opponents at Old Trafford tomorrow.
