Patrice Evra has revealed that he is likely to be fit for Manchester United's Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
The French full-back has been struggling with a knee complaint of late and was substituted during the 4-0 victory away at Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.
However, despite the knock, the full-back believes that he will be ready to turn out in the Allianz Arena.
"I think I will be fit. I received a knock and I was injured as well before Aston Villa with my knee so I will try my best to be fit," he told the club's official website.
"Sometimes you have to play your best and be honest with yourself and your teammates. If you are ready to play, you have to give everything. No excuses. If you play a bad game, you can't say it was because you were injured."
If Evra is not passed fit, Alexander Buttner is expected to deputise at left-back.
