Sergio Aguero steps up recovery from hamstring injury

Sergio Aguero steps up his recovery from a hamstring problem by running on a treadmill.

Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has moved to extinguish doubts regarding his fitness at the World Cup.

The 26-year-old will play no part in this afternoon's clash against Switzerland in Sao Paulo because of a hamstring injury, with further reports having suggested that he could be sidelined for the remainder of the tournament.

However, the Manchester City frontman has posted a video of himself on Instagram running on a treadmill, with the tagline: "Fully devoted to recovery work."

Aguero has made three appearances in Brazil so far, but he is yet to score.
