Wigan Athletic close in on Manchester City youngster

Manchester City's Emyr Huws is close to securing a permanent move to Wigan Athletic, according to a report.

Wigan Athletic are reportedly close to completing the permanent signing of Manchester City midfielder Emyr Huws.

The 20-year-old joined the Latics on a six-month loan from the Premier League champions in July, although BBC Sport claims that a £2.5m long-term deal could now be agreed.

Huws also impressed on loan at Birmingham City last season, and was rewarded with a call-up to the Wales national squad.

Meanwhile, Adam Forshaw completed his move from Brentford to Wigan earlier today.
