Anderlecht left-back Sergio Gomez is set to complete his switch to Premier League champions Manchester City later on Thursday, according to a report.
Pep Guardiola's side are now understood to have agreed a fee in excess of €10m (£8.5m) for the signing of Gomez, who will replace Oleksandr Zinchenko at the Etihad Stadium.
The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks at both Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund before joining Anderlecht last summer, and he enjoyed a strong debut season in Belgium.
Gomez banked seven goals and 15 assists from 49 appearances in all competitions for Anderlecht and set up 12 goals in the Jupiler Pro League, which attracted the attention of City.
The Spain Under-21 international - who has five goals and six assists from eight outings for his nation from a more advanced position - still has three years left to run on his Anderlecht deal but is seemingly set to depart just 12 months after arriving.

According to the Daily Mail, Gomez will complete the formalities of his Man City move later on Thursday, as he undergoes his medical and signs his contract with the Citizens.
Gomez will hope to immediately establish a place in Man City's first-team squad, but the La Masia graduate could potentially be loaned out to Girona for the remainder of the season.
With Benjamin Mendy still suspended by the club, Joao Cancelo has deputised well at left-back for the Citizens, who have also utilised Nathan Ake and Aymeric Laporte in that role.
Gomez would provide a more recognised option in that area, and the Spaniard's versatility has also seen him feature on the wing and in the heart of midfield during his fledgling career.
The former Huesca loanee made just three senior appearances for Dortmund after leaving Barcelona in January 2018, and he has won both the Under-17 and Under-19 European Championships with Spain.

Even if a deal for Gomez is wrapped up imminently, the Manchester Evening News adds that City will still be on the hunt for another left-back after conceding defeat to Chelsea in the race for Marc Cucurella.
Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro has also been linked with a move to the Etihad in recent days, and the report states that a loan exit is the most likely option for Gomez.
Portugal international Guerreiro has now entered the final year of his contract with Dortmund, leading to the prospect of a cut-price deal before he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Anderlecht's Gomez is set to become City's fourth arrival of the summer window, following Kalvin Phillips, Stefan Ortega and Erling Braut Haaland to the blue side of Manchester.
Guardiola's side will aim to make it two for two in the 2022-23 Premier League season when newly-promoted Bournemouth travel to the Etihad on Saturday.
