Roque Santa Cruz to leave Manchester City for Werder Bremen

Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz is finally ready to leave the club for Werder Bremen.

Roque Santa Cruz is finally poised to agree deal to leave Manchester City for German club Werder Bremen, it has been reported.

The 30-year-old last played for City two years ago and after failing to find a new club in England is ready to sign for Bremen, according to The Sun.

Santa Cruz had been desperate to stay in England but could not secure a contract despite rumours of interest from Queens Park Rangers, Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough.

The Paraguay striker has previously played in the Bundesliga, starting his European club career at Bayern Munich.
