Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he is keen for midfielder Frank Lampard to remain at the club for the rest of the season.
Lampard is currently on a loan deal from New York City FC, who are expecting the former Chelsea player to be ready for the start of the MLS campaign in March.
With Lampard having impressed at the Etihad Stadium, the possibility of the veteran staying in the Premier League remains open, but Pellegrini has insisted that he is unclear how long he will be able to call upon the 36-year-old.
The 61-year-old told reporters: "We'll see. It is not just our decision. Of course I want him to stay but I cannot say 100% at this moment."
Lampard has scored six times in 14 matches in all competitions this season.
