Manuel Pellegrini hints at January signings

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says that his side will "stay exactly the same" for the time being, but has not ruled out January signings.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has not ruled out January additions for his side, but has said that no-one will arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the coming days.

City were held to a 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup third round, and after the game Pellegrini said that while there are no arrivals imminent, there is the possibility of new signings.

"For the moment we will stay exactly the same, but it doesn't mean that we won't do something," he told BT Sport. "For now though, nothing important."

Manchester City added Fernandinho, Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic in the summer.
