Pedro Obiang says that he wants to stay with Sampdoria for the time being.

Reported Manchester City target Pedro Obiang has ruled out a move away from Sampdoria.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has won one cap for the Spanish Under-21 side, said that he wants to continue his development with the Blucerchiati.

"At the moment I have nothing to say about the transfer market," he told Calciomercato.

"I'm fine here and next week we may conclude negotiations on a new contract. For now I will stay at Sampdoria - I want to progress a little more here."

Serie A sides Juventus and Napoli are also rumoured to be interested in his signature.
