Roberto Mancini: 'Manchester City could sign new players'

Roberto Mancini says that Manchester City will "probably" sign new players in the January transfer window.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that he could sign new players in January.

The Italian says that he needs to find replacements for players who will leave for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations this month.

When asked if City could make winter signings, Mancini told reporters: "Probably.

"We might have a problem. We lose three [to the Africa Cup of Nations] and I don't think Micah Richards will play until the end of February.

"Jack [Rodwell] - we don't know. Maybe [Aleksandar] Kolarov can recover in two weeks. We will see."

City host Stoke City in the Premier League on Tuesday.
