Manchester City will reportedly launch a £50m bid for Ajax midfielder Frenkie De Jong at the end of the season.
De Jong, 21, is believed to be on the radar of a number of European clubs, with Barcelona and Real Madrid among those to be linked with a move for the Netherlands international.
According to the Daily Mail, however, City feel that they are in a strong position to win the race, and the Premier League champions will make a £50m bid next summer in hope of securing his signature.
The report claims that Manchester United are also interested in the midfielder, but City expect to beat their rivals to the Dutchman, who joined Ajax from Willem II in 2016.
De Jong has scored twice in 19 appearances for Ajax during the 2018-19 campaign.
