Manchester City are reportedly weighing up a £12m move for Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross.
The Blues will be a man short in the central-defensive area once Joleon Lescott departs this summer, and the Potters man has emerged as a potential target for the Premier League champions.
Shawcross, who was voted as Stoke's Player of the Season, is also attracting the interest of Newcastle United, according to The Mirror.
It is believed that Stoke boss Mark Hughes is reluctant to lose the 26-year-old, but a big-money offer from either club could see chairman Peter Coates agree to offload the defender.
