Manchester City are reportedly considering making a move for Real Madrid's Achraf Hakimi as they look to bolster their backline ahead of next season.
Hakimi has impressed in Borussia Dortmund colours during his second season on loan in the Bundesliga, registering nine goals and ten assists across all competitions this term.
The full-back is expected to return to the Spanish capital this summer, but a host of European sides are rumoured to be keeping tabs on Hakimi and considering a summer move for the defender.
Man City are reportedly making the most progress in the race for Hakimi, however, as Cadena Ser claims that Pep Guardiola's side have made contact with Real to assess the situation.
The report claims that City are willing to fork out a hefty fee for Hakimi despite spending big on Joao Cancelo last summer, but Dortmund are still determined to strike a permanent deal for the 21-year-old.
Hakimi still has two years left to run on his current contract with Real Madrid.
