Manchester City have confirmed that they have allowed Patrick Roberts to link up with Girona on a season-long loan deal.
Roberts has spent the last two-and-a-half years on loan at Celtic, with 18 goals being scored in 79 appearances for the Scottish giants.
However, the 21-year-old returned to the Etihad Stadium in the summer hoping to earn a place in Pep Guardiola's plans for the new campaign, but the playmaker faces another season away from the Premier League champions.
Both City and Girona have confirmed that the former England Under-20 international has been presented with an opportunity to play in La Liga, with the Spanish outfit acting as the sister club to City.
Aleix Garcia was sent to Girona earlier in the summer, and it has been reported that Oleksandr Zinchenko could follow Roberts before the end of the month.
