Manchester City are reportedly becoming increasingly confident that Bernardo Silva will sign a new and improved contract with the club.
The Portugal international told the Citizens that he wanted to leave last summer, but he remained at the Etihad Stadium and has been a vital player for the English champions this season.
Silva has scored eight times and registered two assists in 29 appearances in all competitions, including seven goals and one assist in the 2021-22 Premier League.
The 27-year-old's current deal with Man City is due to run until June 2025, but according to The Times, the club are determined to sign him to an extension.
The report claims that the Citizens have held 'positive' discussions with the attacker's representatives and believe that he will put pen to paper in the near future.
Silva has scored 43 goals and registered 46 assists in 230 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side since making the move from Monaco in July 2017.
