Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is expected to leave the club in the summer in search of regular football, according to reports.

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is expected to leave the club in the summer in order to play regular first-team football.

The 30-year-old has struggled to find playing time this season at the Etihad Stadium, often finding himself behind Vincent Kompany, Matija Nastasic and Kolo Toure in the pecking order.

Lescott has also been left out of Roy Hodgson's England squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and San Marino.

This snub has left the centre-back determined to leave City in the summer, so he can earn his place back in the Three Lions squad, according to the Daily Mail.

Roberto Mancini will reportedly allow the 30-year-old to leave the club for just £4m, a fraction of £24m for which the defender was bought from Everton in 2009.
