Stevan Jovetic: 'Manchester City wanted me more'

Stevan Jovetic reveals that Manchester City showed that they wanted him more than the other clubs he was linked with.

New Manchester City signing Stevan Jovetic has revealed that he chose to join the club because they wanted him more than other teams.

The Montenegro international was also linked with Chelsea and Arsenal, but signed for City this week.

"It was a long time they [City] wanted me, last year also," Jovetic told the club's official website.

"They wanted me more than everyone and I decided to come here. They are fighting for the Premier League and also the Champions League, and this is the reason I came here.

"I hope [for] about 15-20 [goals] in all competitions. I have played in lots of systems. I can play striker, behind the striker or on the left."

City also confirmed the signing of Spain striker Alvaro Negredo this week.
