Celtic manager Ronny Deila has revealed that the club are "working really hard" on turning striker John Guidetti's loan stay into a permanent move in January.
The 22-year-old, who is due to return to parent club Manchester City at the end of the season, has impressed the Hoops boss by scoring 11 goals in 15 appearances for the Scottish Premiership outfit this term.
Guidetti is eligible to face Inter Milan in the last 32 of the Europa League in February, with Deila admitting that he hopes a deal can be tied up before then.
"I hope he will sign the contract [by then]," The Scotsman quotes him as saying. "It's going on. We're talking and have an arrangement with the agent, so it's going the right way. You never know, we'll see. The fans should know we're really working hard on this."
Celtic have won their last eight games in the league to move six points clear at the summit.
