Borussia Dortmund reject claims Ilkay Gundogan is off to Manchester City

Borussia Dortmund reject reports claiming that Ilkay Gundogan will leave the club for Manchester City in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund have rubbished reports that Ilkay Gundogan will leave the club in the summer to join Manchester City.

Spanish newspaper Sport recently claimed that the 25-year-old will not sign a new deal at the Bundesliga outfit.

The publication claimed said the midfielder had decided against joining Barcelona and instead has opted to move to the Premier League to be part of City's new era under manager Pep Guardiola.

In response to Sport's story on Twitter, Dortmund's official page tweeted: "Really? We should know about that, shouldn't we? Truth is, we don't know anything about that."

Gundogan's current deal at Dortmund does not expire until the summer of 2017.
