Cristian Ledesma's agent claims that the player will remain at Lazio next season despite interest from Manchester City.

Cristian Ledesma is to remain at Lazio next season despite interest from Manchester City, according to his agent.

Vincenzo D'Ippolito told Gazzetta dello Sport that the midfielder will turn down a move to the Premier League as he is not motivated by money.

He said: "[Roberto] Mancini likes Ledesma. Each year this interest is renewed but Cristian has made a life choice and wants to remain in Rome.

"He is not the classic player that thinks about money above everything else.

"I believe he will end his career with Lazio. He is ready to be the captain next season."

Ledesma, who joined Lazio from Lecce, has three years remaining on his current contract.
