Pablo Zabaleta: 'Camp Nou performance can help Manchester City to success'

Pablo Zabaleta believes that Manchester City can take inspiration from the Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

Pablo Zabaleta has claimed that Manchester City's performance in Camp Nou on Wednesday can help the team achieve success in the Premier League this season.

Despite losing 2-1 in the second leg and being knocked out of the Champions League, Zabaleta believes that City's performance should inspire them to hit top form in the closing stages of the campaign.

"We had determination and character in the Camp Nou. It is never easy to come to Barcelona and get the result we did," the 29-year-old, who was sent off against Barcelona, told reporters.

"We should learn about all these things. I am 100 per cent sure if we keep playing like we did there we can win some trophy."

City return to action against Hull City on Saturday.
