Andreas Weimann confident of repeating Manchester City upset

Andreas Weimann insists that Aston Villa are confident of achieving a league double over Manchester City on Wednesday.

Andreas Weimann has insisted that Aston Villa are confident of upsetting Manchester City for the second time this season when they meet on Wednesday.

After beating Hull City on Saturday to secure their Premier League status for another year, Weimann believes that the squad will be full of confidence against the title contenders at the Etihad Stadium.

"We have put some brilliant performances in against a few of the top teams and got some great wins, but we have lost when we thought we shouldn't have," the Austrian forward told reporters.

"It hasn't been easy but Saturday's win was important. We'll definitely go there and we can play with freedom because we're safe.

"We won't go there and give in. We have beaten them once so we'll see what we can do away."

Weimann scored the winner when Villa beat City 3-2 earlier in the season.
