Raheem Sterling picks up Premier League Player of the Month accolade for August

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is named as the Premier League Player of the Month.

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for August.

Sterling endured a disappointing Euro 2016 with England but he has returned to form under new City boss Pep Guardiola.

After contributing to City's victories over both Sunderland and Stoke City, the 21-year-old scored twice as the North-West outfit beat West Ham United before the international break.

Sterling has made a total of 51 appearances in all competitions since leaving Liverpool for City last summer.
