Winston Reid says that Manchester City will not take their eye off the ball in the final stretch of the season despite losing their Premier League crown.

West Ham United defender Winston Reid believes that Manchester City will not be slacking off in their clash at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.

Roberto Mancini's men watched on as Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 3-0 at Old Trafford on Monday night to secure the Premier League title, ending the Citizens' one-year reign as champions.

However, the New Zealand international said that the Citizens will still want to finish the season in the right manner, as well as preparing for the FA Cup final.

"We know City have quality players," Sky Sports News quotes Reid as saying. "They have quality throughout the side, but we are five games unbeaten and keen to finish the season as strong as [we can].

"We know that facing them on their own ground is going to be extra tough because as the former champions they will still want to finish the season well and grab that second place.

"Even though they haven't got the title back they have an FA Cup final to go for and they will want to finish well."

City face Wigan Athletic at Wembley on May 11.
