Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly held a third meeting with Manchester City officials over becoming the club's new manager.
The Chilean boss is odds-on favourite to take the hotseat at the Etihad Stadium following City's decision to dismiss Roberto Mancini from the position after his side succumbed to FA Cup final defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic.
Yesterday, before the managerial shift was announced, Pellegrini denied that he has agreed a deal to move to Manchester, but it has been claimed that the 59-year-old met with City representatives in a restaurant in Benalmadena just minutes after his announcement, according to newspaper Malaga Hoy.
Reports have claimed that Pellegrini's release clause is around £3.4m.
