New Manchester City signing Jesus Navas believes that he has joined the former Premier League champions during an "exciting time" for the club.
The North West outfit will begin the 2013-14 campaign under new management in the form of Manuel Pellegrini, along with new signings Navas, Alvaro Negredo, Stevan Jovetic and Fernandinho.
"It's an exciting time to be joining City and I'm confident we will enjoy the season and do great things together," Navas told the club's official website.
"Obviously I know Alvaro well. He was a teammate of mine at Sevilla and he scores lots of goals. I'm very pleased to see him following me to City.
"For me, it was very clear what I wanted to do. I wanted to join City. Both Alvaro and I were both convinced that City is a great club to join."
Pellegrini has now rejoined the squad on their pre-season tour following the death of his mother.
