Argentina legend Diego Maradona has expressed his sadness over Carlos Tevez's situation at Manchester City.
Tevez has been fined two weeks' wages and will be forced to train on his own for the forseeable future after refusing to warm up in a Champions League match with Bayern Munich.
"It hurts me to see it happen to Tevez as a player and human being," Maradona commented.
"If City want to give him a financial penalty then fine. But the worst thing to do to a player is to stop him playing."
Maradona was previously linked with bringing Tevez to his Dubai club Al Wasl.
