Roberto Mancini has said that Carlos Tevez could return to the Manchester City side if he can prove his fitness.
The wantaway Argentinian forward, who is currently still AWOL in Argentina, was named in City's 23-man squad for the second half of the Premier League season and Italian Mancini has admitted that Tevez could feature.
"If he comes back - and he is fit - it is possible," said Mancini.
There has been no indication as to when the 27-year-old may return from his homeland.
"Carlos is not an option at the moment but it is possible in the future if he comes back," added Mancini.
"I hope for him he has been training in the last three months to help his condition.
"There is only one thing on my mind - the Barclays Premier League."
Tevez was unable to secure a move away from the Etihad over the January transfer window and is now likely to leave in the summer.
