Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is expected to return to the fold for the Premier League leaders' weekend match against Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old was forced to miss out on City's 3-0 win over Fulham last Saturday with a knee injury.
The Belgium international has returned to training following the problem that he picked up during a session at Carrington last week, according to the Daily Mail.
Kompany has only played one game since coming back from a four-match ban, which was issued to the defender following a red card offence in City's 3-2 FA Cup defeat last month.
