Pep Guardiola has broken an English top-flight record, previously set by Jose Mourinho, following Manchester City's 3-0 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
Strikes from Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva helped the Citizens claim maximum points against the Seagulls and move back to the top of the table, one point above title rivals Liverpool with six games remaining.
Guardiola has now claimed 250 victories in 344 matches across all competitions with Man City, meaning that the Spaniard is the quickest manager to reach this milestone in charge of an English top-flight club.

The Spaniard has surpassed former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho, who reached the milestone in 396 matches.
Kenny Dalglish (429 games), Arsene Wenger (433 games) and Don Revie (439 games) complete the top five on this list.
Guardiola will be hoping to add to his 250 victories when his City side welcome Watford to the Etihad for their Premier League contest on Saturday, before playing host to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final next Wednesday.
