Manchester City defender Gael Clichy still hopeful of winning title

Manchester City defender Gael Clichy claims that he and his teammates still have a slim chance of winning the Premier League title.

Gael Clichy has insisted that Manchester City still have a slim chance of winning the Premier League title.

The defending champions slipped nine points behind leaders Chelsea on Monday when they were beaten 2-1 at Crystal Palace.

Clichy admits that it will be difficult for City to retain their crown, but the Frenchman believes that they are still capable of doing so.

"We know we have seven games to go - it's very little, but it's enough to make things happen. We've been there before," the left-back told Sky Sports News. "I'm not talking about winning the title because we are very far from achieving this at the moment, but if we finish strong and if we can stop losing points, who knows what can happen?"

Clichy and his City teammates return to action on Sunday when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the league.
