Sergio Aguero: 'Manchester City can still win the title'

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero insists that his side can still win the Premier League title despite falling nine points behind leaders Chelsea.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has insisted that his side are still in the Premier League title race despite dropping down to fourth place in the standings.

A run of three defeats in their last five league games and just four wins from their last 11 has seen the champions slip from level on points with leaders Chelsea to nine points behind, having played a game more.

City face in-form rivals Manchester United in the derby at Old Trafford on Sunday, but Aguero is in no doubt that his side can still retain their title this season.

"Of course we can still win it," Aguero told Sky Sports News.

"In football, anything can happen - as soon as you think something is certain, then everything changes, we have seen it so many times before and we'll see it again.

"We only focus on ourselves, try to win every game we play and keep pressure on Chelsea."

Aguero is without a goal in his last five Premier League appearances for City.
