The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester City eye possible reinforcements.
The 2018-19 champions did not bring in a single player during the January transfer window, despite suffering a defensive shortage for much of the 2019-20 campaign, but they have already started their business for the summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.
Saturday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Barcelona 'make fresh bid for Eric Garcia'
Barcelona have reportedly made a fresh approach for Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.
The young centre-back is currently against penning a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, putting him in line to leave City next summer.
The 19-year-old's stance has naturally led to speculation regarding a return to Barcelona, where he spent the majority of his youth days.
Despite failing with previous bids for the prospect, SER Catalunya programme 'Que t'hi Jugues' says that the Catalan giants have made another offer.
The report claims that Barcelona are attempting to conclude a deal for €8m (£7.26m), with a further two add-ons being paid at a later date.
As it stands, City are not prepared to budge on their £20m valuation of the player.
Barcelona put move for Manchester City's Eric Garcia on hold until January?
Barcelona are reportedly prepared to wait until next year to make a move for Manchester City defender Eric Garcia after failing to agree terms with Pep Guardiola's side.
The 19-year-old has refused City's offer of a new deal and now has less than 12 months to run on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Barcelona have reportedly been stepping up their interest as they look to strike a deal for Garcia before the deadline, but the Catalan giants may be forced to put a swoop for the centre-back on hold for the time being.
According to Marca, Barcelona have offered a total sum of €10m (£9m) to City for Garcia, but Guardiola's side are not willing to entertain offers lower than €30m (£27.2m).
With Ronald Koeman's side strapped for cash in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the report claims that La Blaugrana will make another attempt to sign Garcia during the January transfer window.
Garcia will be able to depart for free next summer should he see out the end of his contract at the Etihad, so City may be prepared to accept a cut-price figure for the Spaniard in order to avoid that occurrence.
