Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola warns his in-form side against complacency ahead of their EFL Cup fourth-round clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has warned his players that any team are capable of beating them, despite their club record-equalling run of form.

City have won their last 11 matches across all competitions to lay down a marker both in the Premier League and the Champions League, with Saturday's 3-0 win over Burnley sending them five points clear domestically.

The free-scoring Citizens will look to set a new club record of 12 wins on the bounce when they welcome Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night, but Guardiola is guarding against complacency in the EFL Cup encounter.

"The only thing as a manager I said since my career started is 'think about the next one'. The next one is Wolves. It doesn't matter where or if they are in the top five or six, any team can beat us," he told reporters.

"Only we can see in every single game and Tuesday is another game, to try to be so serious and play as good as possible to deserve the respect from our opponents.

"We deserve the respect of opponents when they look at us, when they watch us on TV, on the field, and say 'that team makes a lot of good things'. That is all I want and after we will see."

City have scored 39 goals during their 11-match winning streak, including 24 in six consecutive victories at home.
