Yaya Toure absent from Manchester City squad

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure will miss his team's match against West Bromwich Albion with an Achilles problem.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that midfielder Yaya Toure won't feature against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Toure was substituted during the second half of City's 1-0 defeat in Barcelona on Wednesday night, and Pellegrini has told reporters that the Ivorian will miss the fixture with the Baggies because of an Achilles problem.

Due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, the 31-year-old has made just seven appearances for City since the turn of the year.

Pellegrini has also announced that James Milner and Aleksandar Kolarov are major doubts for the game at the Etihad Stadium.
