Roberto Mancini explains his reasoning behind picking Joe Hart over Costel Pantilimon for the FA Cup final.

Roberto Mancini has insisted that he picked Joe Hart to keep goal during this evening's FA Cup final because he "wanted him for this game".

Reserve goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon had played in every round leading up to the showpiece event, but he was dropped so that England number one Hart could be included against Wigan Athletic.

"I decided to play Joe Hart because I wanted him for this game. It doesn't change anything. We know Pantilimon is a good keeper but I've changed it for the final. He will be disappointed," he told ITV Sport.
