Pablo Zabaleta keen on keeping peace

Pablo Zabaleta plan to act as a peace-keeper between his Manchester City teammate Sergio Aguero and the Villarreal players tonight.

Pablo Zabaleta has revealed that he intends to act as a peace-keeper between his Manchester City teammate Sergio Aguero and the Villarreal players at the El Madrigal this evening.

A large number of the Villarreal squad were unhappy with the Argentine striker following their 2-1 loss to City at the Etihad Stadium a fortnight ago.

It was alleged that Aguero mocked his counterparts while walking down the tunnel after the match.

However, Zabaleta has played down the incident and plans to discuss the matter with the Yellow Submarine's vice-captain Gonzalo Rodriguez.

"I don't know what happened in the tunnel but I know some of their players, including [Rodriguez], so I will try to speak to him and tell him what happened in the last game is finished," Zabaleta told a press conference.

"We need to focus on the game, for us, and so do the Villarreal players as well."

City have yet to win away from home in the Champions League.
