Malaga sporting director Mario Husillos has admitted that the Spanish club are in danger of being priced out of a move for on-loan Galatasaray attacker Nordin Amrabat.
The 28-year-old has been on loan at La Rosaleda since January 2014 and has been one of the La Liga club's standout performers this season.
Husillos has revealed that Malaga are desperate to sign the Turkish international, but has conceded that the asking price is a stumbling block.
"We have the option of signing him [permanently] until the end of the month, as it stands. He's a very important player for us and the club has to exhaust all options to ensure he continues to be," Inside Spanish Football quotes Husillos as saying.
"His importance to the team is undoubted and the club want him to stay here, but €3.5m (£2.5m) is a lot of money for us."
