Ruben Pardo's late equaliser rescues point for David Moyes's side

Ruben Pardo scores a late equaliser for David Moyes' Real Sociedad to earn them a 1-1 draw with Malaga.

Ruben Pardo scored a late equaliser for David Moyes's Real Sociedad which canceled out Recio's second-half opener for Malaga in a 1-1 draw this evening.

The hosts had previously a goal disallowed early on in the game, as Juanmi converted from close range, but was penalised for being offside.

The first half remained goalless, despite Malaga edging it in terms of possession and chances created.

The home side were quickest out of the blocks in the second with Recio's goal giving the home side the advantage 10 minutes after the restart as a precise free kick from Samu Castillejo was headed home by the Spanish midfielder.

Malaga once again had the ball in the back of the net, but it was Galatasaray loanee Nordin Amrabat who was deemed to be offside this time.

The hosts were then punished for failing to take their chances as Pardo's strike from outside the box made it 1-1 in the 83rd minute.

Moyes's men pushed for the winner, but left it a little too late as the game finished one apiece to leave Malaga seventh in La Liga and Sociedad in 10th.
