Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has described Alexandre Lacazette's rumoured departure from the club as "impossible".
Newcastle United and Liverpool are thought to be interested in the striker, who has scored 25 goals in 30 matches this season.
"Impossible. He will be with us at the Stade des Lumieres and in the Champions League," Aulas told the Newcastle Chronicle.
Lacazette previously told reporters: "If the president asks me to leave I'll have to leave the club."
The 23-year-old has made five appearances for France, after coming through the youth ranks at Lyon.
