Lyon chairman: Yoann Gourcuff is staying

There is a "99 percent chance" that Yoann Gourcuff will remain at Lyon this summer, according to chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.

Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has said that there is a "99 percent chance" that Yoann Gourcuff will remain at the club this summer.

The 25-year-old playmaker was linked with a switch to Arsenal in the January transfer window and speculation has again surfaced over the player's future at Stade Gerland.

Aulas told L'Equipe: "I never stated he will leave this summer. Anyway, to leave, you need an offer and there is no offer for Yoann.

"Moreover, I am not necessarily keen to let Gourcuff leave, so there is a 99 percent chance he will remain a Lyon player next season."

Gourcuff, who has been capped 29 times by France, was not included in Laurent Blanc's squad for Euro 2012.
